The Wuni Zaligu Development Association (WUZDA) a charity organization which is into sanitation is urging assemblies in the Northern Region to appreciate the contribution of NGOs and CSOs in complimenting their efforts to fighting the sanitation canker.
Head of credit management at WUZDA, Mr. Issahaku Alhassan Neindow said even though some assemblies are appreciating the efforts being made by organizations such as WUZDA, others leave entirely to them the work of providing basic amenities to the people.
Issahaku Alhassan was speaking to host of Might FM’s morning show ‘The Morning Flight’, Shaibu Awudu earlier today.
Mr. Issahaku said the inputs of NGOs and CSOs are just to compliment the works of the assemblies as it is their core mandate to provide basic amenities for the people; but bemoaned the fact that some assemblies leave the works fully on these organizations when they step in to help them.
